🎸 Alternative Wedding DJ in Bath – Will & Miran’s Epic Halloween Bash at Priston Mill

Being an alternative wedding DJ in Bath means not every night ends with ABBA — but sometimes, it totally does.

On 31st October 2025, I headed down to the stunning Priston Mill near Bath in Somerset for Will & Miran’s Halloween wedding. From the first email, I knew this wasn’t going to be your average wedding reception disco. During our consultation meeting, they described themselves as “a couple of elder emos” looking for a night of pop punk, metal, and just a bit of Elvis and ABBA — say no more.

💀 A Wedding with Bite

The couple got married in the gorgeous Tythe Barn, and by the time I fired up the speakers around 8:15 PM, the place was buzzing. We kicked off with a mix of Elvis, Blondie, James Brown, and Duran Duran — tunes that got everyone on the floor early and bridged the generational gap perfectly.

🎸 Then Came the Chaos (the good kind)

Around 10pm, things started to get wild in the best way. We moved from cheeky dancefloor fun (Doctor Jones, Teenage Dirtbag, I Miss You) into full-blown alt wedding mode.

From there, the set exploded into emo, post-hardcore, and alternative rock that was 100% Miran and Will’s vision:

  • Electric Callboy – “We Got the Moves”
  • A Day To Remember – “The Downfall of Us All”
  • Fall Out Boy – “Dance, Dance”
  • Bowling For Soup – “Girl All the Bad Guys Want”
  • State Champs – “Secrets”
  • Bring Me The Horizon – “LosT”
  • Beartooth – “In Between”
  • Pierce The Veil – “King For A Day”
  • Limp Bizkit – “Rollin’”
  • Papa Roach – “Last Resort”
  • Linkin Park – “In The End”
  • BMTH – “Can You Feel My Heart?”
  • Sleep Token – “The Summoning”
  • Electric Callboy – “Everytime We Touch (TEKKNO Version)”
  • All Time Low – “Dear Maria, Count Me In”
  • blink-182 – “DANCE WITH ME”
  • A Day To Remember – “Since U Been Gone”
  • BMTH – “Throne”

This run was loud, euphoric, and exactly what they’d imagined — a wall-to-wall hour of alt bangers that leaned fully into their emo/metalcore roots. You don’t get many weddings with BMTH and Electric Callboy in the same breath as Elvis — but that’s what made this night unforgettable.

🎤 First Dances With a Twist

Following the cake-cutting, their first dance was “Follow You” – Bring Me The Horizon, followed by “Stand By Me” – Ben E. King for everyone else — a beautiful balance of personal taste and crowd love.

🎃 A Halloween Send-Off

After “Throne,” things wound down with a few surprise requests — including a last-minute dance and lift to “The Time of My Life” by Bill Medley and a spontaneous blast of “Jailhouse Rock” by Elvis. The night wrapped, but not before Marvin Gaye and Aretha Franklin made surprise last-minute appearances, at Will’s request, to keep the final dancers smiling.

From heavy breakdowns to singalong classics, it was a night full of contrast, chaos, and character — exactly what alternative weddings should be.

Then, I packed up and headed off to stay with a couple of good friends in Bristol for the night. Lovely stuff!
