About the night

I’m joining the Subside family for a special fundraiser: the Dougie Walters Benefit. Dougie, one of Subside’s resident DJs, was recently diagnosed with cancer and is now recovering from surgery. To support Dougie, his partner and their two young boys, all door money on the night (less VAT) plus any collections will go directly to his family.

Expect a stacked night: three live punk bands to kick things off Flashhearts, Decade & A Day, and Left to Reign, followed by a collab relay of Subside resident DJs right through till 6am. Come early, sing loud, and if you’re able, tap the donation points you’ll see around the venue.

Entry & donations

Free before 9pm, £5 after. There’ll be collection points and QR/tap-to-donate around the venue — everything raised goes to Dougie & family while he recovers.

What I’ll play

I’m on 11:20pm–12:20am. It’s not decided yet whether it’ll be a condensed mish-mash of all the stuff I normally play at Subside, or whether each DJ is gonna take a theme or somesuch, and then after my hour, I’ll hand over to Ben Mortiboy. As always — bring your voices.
